Poppy Festival
I went to the poppy festival in Lancaster. As I walked through the entrance I couldn't help but notice an incredible sand sculpture. I thought it was amazing and almost looked like a real lion. It made me think of the wilderness and created a artistic atmosphere. The artist that designed this custom made sand sculpture in the shape of a lion must have put a lot of thought into the design of it. I thought the art of sand sculpture was a unique promotion of "artists in action" and it was very interesting and beautiful. I also saw some intriguing entertainers such as ethnic dancers and musicians. Their outfits and movements were mimicking different cultures. I enjoyed listening to the different sounds although none of the music really touched me. I saw some belly dancers which made me think of last summer while I was on a cruise to Greece the crew members offered a belly dancing class. It brought back good memories.
